Mbano Medical Mission 2023

El-Aged Care and partners illuminate 584 lives with over 105 free surgeries and vision transformations.

December 6–8, 2023

A three-day mission, hundreds of lives changed

El-Aged Care LTD/GTE, in collaboration with the Nigerian Christian Graduate Fellowship and African Vision Tract House Society, ran the Mbano Medical Mission over three days in December 2023. More than 584 people came seeking medical assistance, and the mission delivered over 105 free eye surgeries.

A team of doctors travelled from Jos to Mbano to perform the surgeries, and the mission's reach extended to the Amarakwu marketplace so that as many people as possible could benefit — children, youths and older adults alike.

A transformative impact

Many attendees arrived with untreated vision problems. Thanks to the surgeries and treatment provided — entirely free of charge — a great number left with significantly improved sight, along with free glasses, medication and comprehensive check-ups.

Made possible together

Thanks to our sponsors and volunteers

The mission's success rested on volunteers who travelled from across the country to help, and on the generosity of sponsors. Special recognition goes to Mrs. Philomena Anyanwu for graciously hosting the mission — a reminder that transformative change is achievable when people and organizations come together for the greater good.
