About El-Aged Care

Our team is made up of the board of directors who are responsible for governing El-Aged Care in carrying out the organization’s mission. Members of the Board of Directors include:

Preident / CEO

Philomena Anyanwu

Philomena Anyanwu is currently the President and CEO of El-Aged Care Ltd. The foundation of this organization is built upon her vision. She is a seasoned Computer Scientist, a proven and an accomplished Project Management Professional (PMP) of over 17years.

She has worked in various sectors of the economy, local and international as professional project manager before opting to pursue studies at various levels leading to Bachelor of Social Work degree (with option in Aging) at the university of Manitoba in Canada and an MSc degree in Gerontology from the University of Southampton in the UK.

Prior to the founding of El-Aged Care, Philomena worked for various organizations in Canada, supporting older adults and persons with disabilities with specific interest in the rural elderly population. Philomena is married and blessed with four children.

Sunday Olukoju Ph.d

Sunday Akin Olukoju (Ph.D), a man of many parts is a university tutor, a college advisor/counselor, a community newspaper correspondent, the president of Nigeria-Canada Congress of Manitoba and as well, a member of the pastoral team of Immanuel Fellowship where he gives strong leadership to the church’s collaboration that has birthed three evangelistic movies. He also serves on the board of Manitoba Association of Multicultural Education (MAME); and Oka Descendants Union of North America.

Sunday Akin Olukoju is the president of the Winnipeg-based Canadian Center for Global Studies. He is the author of "Hope on the Horizon: From Celebration of Stupidity to Celebration of Excellence"; and "The Finest Wine".

Dr. Sunday Akin Olukoju is happily married to Rev (Dr.) Deborah Olukoju, and they are blessed with two charming sons.

Engr Adolph U Anyanwu

Engr Adolph U Anyanwu is a seasoned professional Engineer with over three decades of experience in Engineering and Management cutting across the oil and gas industry, construction, civil/structural engineering consultancy services and Project management.

He obtained his first degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 1981 and a Master of Engineering degree from the University of Benin, Benin City in year 2000. Engr Anyanwu is a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, The Nigerian Institution of Civil Engineers and registered by the Council for Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN).

He has attended several local and international courses in Engineering and leadership and is currently the Principal Partner, Adphyl Engineers, a consulting Civil/Structural Engineering company.

Esther Alumba

ESTHER ALUMBA is an educationist of repute with a BSc and MSc degrees in Science Education from the Amadu Bello University, Zaria.

She is a highly skilled and experienced professional whose main interest is in the area of personal and career development. Esther is a natural leader and innovative thinker with soft spot for helping others to meet their potentials.

She also has a diploma certificate in Project Management from the University of Winnipeg in Canada. She has had opportunity supporting people with disabilities in Canada and currently focused on managing projects in the health care sector.

Chukwudi Stephens

Chukwudi Stephen Anyanwu graduated from the University of Manitoba with a BSc in Biochemistry in 2010. He subsequently commenced an MSc program at the same University in 2011 and graduated in 2013.

Chukwudi is currently a medical student at the American University of the Caribbean school of Medicine in St Maarten. Outside of his academic pursuit, Chukwudi has been engaged in community activities. He was a choir director for 5years and involved in the young adult leadership at his local church in Canada.

He is at present involved in the leadership of a volunteer organization that serves the community in St Maarten.

Uzowuru Godson Eberechukwu

Uzowuru Godson Eberechukwu was an Assistant Commissioner of Police until he retired in 2010 having served in the Nigerian Police Force for 35 years in the Anti-Bomb Squad unit. He is a specialist with proven track records in security, health and safety (SHS). He is an expert the act of defusing bombs and have been involved in providing training on SHS for NGO personnel in hostile environments.

Barr. Uzowuru is a dynamic lawyer and has been an Attorney at Law for more than 12 years while still in the Nigerian Police. He is the head of ‘Chamber Epitez Law Firm’ and also a consultant on security to the Central Bank of Nigeria. Godson Uzowuru and his team at Chiveg Security Services Ltd, a company he founded have written a number of white papers on various security and counter terror subjects. He is happily married and has five children
